Member teachers may enter up to three students per recital.  Fee is $5 per entry.  Deadline for entries is 10 days before the recital date. Mail entry forms and one check payable to MDML for all entry fees to Emily Beckman, 30285 Pine Grove, Farmington Hills, MI 48355.

Concerto entries, requiring a second piano, will not be allowed.

Students should dress appropriately and should plan to remain for the full program.

Adult Recital

Entry Fee is $15 for all performers whether MDML Members or Adult students. Applications are available on the Downloads page and from the Chairperson.

Ensemble Festival

Fee is $10 per member of each ensemble. Maximum fee of $30 for multiple entries per family for each ensemble. Deadline for entries is October 15, 2017

The Ensemble Festival is a non-competitive event for students of MDML teachers to perform classical, jazz, or Broadway show music in ensembles of two or more players on piano, voice, brass, woodwind, string, and percussion instruments.

Each ensemble may perform up to two pieces with a maximum of 10 minutes per ensemble. Memorization is optional.  Each ensemble must contain one student of an MDML member in good standing.

The teacher may conduct or perform with an ensemble, so long as the group contains one student of an MDML teacher and one other student performer.

Performers may be either school-age or adult students.  A  performer may appear in more than one ensemble.  A $10 fee is paid for each ensemble.

There will be no make-up SAT tests.  If Students cannot make the MDML  test date, teachers should register them as Guests at another test site.  Teachers whose students test at alternate sites are responsible for reporting trophy orders and test scores to the MDML SAT Chairperson.

All member teachers entering students to the MDML SAT are expected to work the day of the testing.  There are no exceptions.  Members who perform at church service must find a replacement for their church service.
